The timetable for the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle Mock Exams is now available HERE. Please review the timetable carefully and, if you notice any issues, speak with Oide Ciarán Ó C as soon as possible.

Exams can only be completed on the scheduled day and at the scheduled time. We are not in a position to facilitate mock exams at any alternative times.

Please find attached the final mock examination timetable for 3rd and 6th Year students.

General Information

During the mock exams, normal school rules apply. All students sitting exams must wear their full school uniform for the duration of the exams. This includes black shoes or runners and the school coat. The sports uniform may not be worn. Students are expected to follow all school rules and adhere to the school’s Code of Positive Behaviour at all times.

Morning exams begin at 8:30 a.m. Students must be in school and in the exam centre by 8:25 a.m. for roll-call, which is the normal start of the school day.

For exams later in the day, students must be in the exam centre at least five minutes before the scheduled start time. When arriving for exams later in the day, students must ensure that all phones and personal devices are stored in their pouches, in line with school policy.

To minimise disruption, students are not permitted to leave an exam early. If a student arrives late for an exam, they may be permitted to enter at the discretion of the supervising teacher, at a time that minimises disruption to other students.

Attendance

3rd and 6th Year students are only required to attend school when they have an exam. Students may leave the school once they have completed their final exam of the day.
Students who remain in school may use the study hall outside the Principal’s office while waiting for a school bus or collection.

If a 3rd Year student is waiting between sessions for an afternoon exam or Art class, they are not permitted to leave the school. These students must remain in the study hall until their next session begins.

We assume that all students have parental permission to leave the school once their exams are complete, unless the school is informed otherwise by a parent or guardian.

Behaviour

All students must follow the school’s Code of Behaviour at all times. Any student who is disruptive during an exam will be removed from the exam session and sent home for the remainder of the day. A decision will then be made by school management regarding that student’s attendance at subsequent exams.

Reasonable Accommodations

It is important to note that the school is not the State Examinations Commission (SEC) and does not have access to the same resources or facilities. During the mock exams, the rest of the school will continue to follow its normal timetable, with teaching and learning taking place as usual.

If a student is unable to attend an exam for any reason, we are not in a position to facilitate the exam at an alternative time.

While arrangements have been made for shared special centres, we are not in a position to provide individual special centres or readers, or some of the other accommodations provided for in RACE.

While we welcome the Minister’s recent announcement (attached) regarding additional exam time for some students in specific circumstances, this provision cannot be applied during the mock exams.

Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that the mock exams reflect the experience of the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle exams. However, it is neither realistic nor feasible for the mocks to fully replicate the conditions of the State Examinations in June. Mock exams are in-house assessments, provided for students’ benefit, and are not connected to the State Examinations Commission.

Art

3rd Year students do not have an Art exam. They are scheduled to meet with their Art teachers during the mock exam period to work on their Junior Cycle projects.

6th Year students will sit an Art exam on 12/02/26. The other Art sessions listed on the timetable are scheduled with their Art teachers to allow students to work on their Leaving Certificate projects.

Conclusion

We wish all students every success in the upcoming exams. While students may feel pressure to change their routines at this time, we encourage them to eat well, rest adequately, maintain regular sleep patterns, and engage in physical activity. A healthy balance between school, study, and personal wellbeing is essential.

Eolas Ginearálta

Beidh gnáthrialacha na scoile i bhfeidhm le linn na mionscrúduithe. Caithfidh daltaí atá ag déanamh scrúduithe a gcuid éide scoile iomláine a chaitheamh i rith na scrúduithe. Áirítear leis seo bróga nó bróga reatha dubha agus cóta na scoile. Níl cead éide spóirt a chaitheamh. Táthar ag súil go leanfaidh daltaí Cód Iompar Dearfach na scoile i gcónaí.

Tosaíonn scrúduithe maidine ag 8:30 r.n. Caithfidh daltaí a bheith ar scoil agus sa lárionad scrúdaithe roimh 8:25 r.n. don tionól, tús ghnáthlá scoile.

I gcás scrúduithe níos déanaí sa lá, caithfidh daltaí a bheith sa lárionad scrúdaithe cúig nóiméad ar a laghad roimh thús an scrúdaithe. Nuair a thagann daltaí ar scoil níos déanaí sa lá, caithfidh siad a chinntiú go bhfuil gutháin agus gléasanna pearsanta curtha ina málaí Yondr, de réir bheartas na scoile.

Chun cur isteach a laghdú, ní cheadaítear do dhaltaí an seomra scrúdaithe a fhágáil go luath. Má thagann dalta déanach don scrúdú, féadfar ligean dóibh dul isteach ag braith ar an múinteoir feitheoireachta, ag am a laghdóidh cur isteach ar dhaltaí eile.

Tinreamh

Ní gá do dhaltaí Bhliain 3 agus Bhliain 6 freastal ar scoil ach amháin nuair atá scrúdú acu. Is féidir le daltaí imeacht ón scoil nuair a bhíonn a scrúdú deiridh don lá críochnaithe acu.
Is féidir le daltaí fanacht sa halla staidéir os comhair oifig an Phríomhoide agus iad ag fanacht ar bhus scoile nó ar síob abhaile.

Má tá dalta Bliain 3 ag fanacht ar scrúdú tráthnóna nó rang Ealaíne, ní cheadaítear dóibh an scoil a fhágáil. Caithfidh na daltaí sin fanacht sa halla staidéir go dtí tús a seisiún eile.

Glactar leis go bhfuil céad ag daltaí an scoil a fhágáil nuair a bhíonn a scrúduithe thart, mura gcuirtear an scoil ar an eolas a mhalairt.

Iompar

Caithfidh gach dalta Cód Iompair na scoile a leanúint i gcónaí. Bainfear aon dalta atá ag cur isteach ar scrúdú ón seisiún láithreach agus seolfar abhaile iad don lá. Déanfaidh bainistíocht na scoile cinneadh ansin maidir lena rannpháirtíocht i scrúduithe ina dhiaidh sin.

Socruithe Réasúnta

Tá sé tábhachtach a thuiscint nach bhfuil na hacmhainní céanna ar fáil dúinn i rith na scrudúithe mar atá ag Coimisiún na Scrúduithe Stáit (CSS). Leanfaidh daltaí Bl1, 2, agus 5 a gnáth-amchlár, agus beidh teagasc agus foghlaim ar siúl mar is gnách.

Má bhíonn dalta as láthair ar lá scrúdaithe, ní féidir scrúdú a eagrú ag am eile.

Cé go bhfuil ionaid speisialta roinnte socraithe, ní féidir linn ionaid aonair ná léitheoirí a chur ar fáil.

Cé go gcuirimid fáilte roimh fhógra le déanaí ón Aire (ceangailte) maidir le ham breise i gcásanna áirithe, ní féidir an socrú seo a chur i bhfeidhm le linn na mionscrúduithe.

Tá gach iarracht á dhéanamh againn chun eispéireas an tSraith Shóisearaigh agus na hArdteistiméireachta a chur ar fáil do na daltaí i rith na mionscrúduithe. Is measúnuithe scoile iad na mionscrúduithe agus níl baint acu leis an CSS.

Ealaín

Níl scrúdú Ealaíne ag daltaí Bhliain 3. Tá tréimhse acu ar an amchlár le bualadh lena múinteoirí Ealaíne le linn na mionscrúduithe chun obair a dhéanamh ar a dtionscadail don Straith Sóisearach.

Beidh scrúdú scríofa Ealaíne ag daltaí Bhliain 6 ar an 12/02/26. Tá na seisiúin Ealaíne phraiticiúil eile atá le feiceáil ar an amchlár sceidealaithe lena múinteoirí Ealaíne chun obair a dhéanamh ar a dtionscadail don Ardteistiméireacht.
